Transfiguration is a one-term class that consists of four lessons, four assignments and one final exam. All lessons, assignments and the exam will be available at all times, just like there will be only one due date for all work, which is the 10th of January for the Autumn Term or the 10th of June for the Spring Term. There will not be extensions of any kind.
Each assignment is worth sixty house points. You can earn a total of 240 points for the assignments. The final exam is worth sixty house points, it is split into the project and the theoretical part, thirty points each, which brings us to a total of 300 points.
You can also be presented with a bonus assignment at my discretion if you are away from a set threshold or goal by a certain amount of points.
It is very important that everyone has an equal opportunity to earn house points. Should you find yourself unable to solve assignment tasks in the worth of 60 house points due to requiring any sort of assistive technology or having an impairment that would prevent you from completing the work, please do email me at [email protected] so I can make sure you are provided with adequate alternatives.
In order to pass this class and earn your quill, you must earn at least 150 house points without having to take the exam. None of the assignments are mandatory, but those who take the theoretical part of the exam and earn at least twenty points from it will have their passing requirements lowered to 130 points, including the points earned from the exam.
The class schedule is as follows:
